Editing

Completed our editing today and put the video on the network with DVD backup.

Problems faced:
  • Footage that didn't quite fit together. E.g changes in positioning between each shot. Next time we will have to make sure the people in the film remain in the same positioning whilst filming that sequence in order to keep continuity.
  • Editing the footage down to just one minute.

How we overcame these:
  • Put a fade inbetween to suggest a passage of time.
  • Cutting the footage carefully, eventually lowering it down to the one minute mark.

    What lesson have you learnt about editing if the shots re positioning did not work - how dio you ensure that tis does not happen next time in the real thing?
